This AstroFringe festival will form an extension to the main GA2024 program with a focus on multidisciplinary collaborations and science engagement for research, outreach and education purposes between delegates, the astronomy community in Africa and the public. We will issue a call for anyone to host their own astronomy-related event during the GA2024, which we will then market via a virtual program of events. Events may include star-gazing, public talks, co-creation workshops, astronomy-themed drawing classes, astronomy hikes, etc.
